I promise I promise I promise ……

My family and I just got home from a trip to Maui!!  It was sooo  AWESOME!!!   We do it nearly every year and each year we are blessed and refreshed and so thankful to the Lord for His goodness in sending us to such a beautiful place.   This year we saw rainbows every day and on the last day, as  we drove the road to Hana….this is a death defying feat done by tourists and natives alike.  (The views are stunning,  albeit from the side of a cliff)   On the drive to and from Hana, on our very last day on the island we saw 6, yes! 6 rainbows.  The last one was actually hovering low over the pacific ocean.  We pulled over to get a better look and a guy who lived there was also pulled over and said ” I’ve never seen anything like this ever!”    Needless to say neither had we….God gave us such  a great show.  In the bible, God says that every time he sends a rainbow it will be a sign that He will remember his promise to never flood the whole world again, and He never has.  God keeps His promises.   Seeing 6 rainbows in one day was amazing.  It was kind of like…” I promise”, “I promise”, “I promise”, “I promise”, “I promise” , “I promise”.    How differently will you live knowing that God keeps His promises?   God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19

But He was wounded for your transgressions, He was bruised for your iniquities: the chastisement of your peace was upon Him; and by His stripes you are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all your iniquities; who healeth all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard,no mind has conceived  what God has prepared for those who love him”1 Corinthians 2:9
