Bless and bless and bless

13-18When God made his promise to Abraham, he backed it to the hilt, putting his own reputation on the line. He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have—bless and bless and bless!” Hebrews 6:15( The Message)
When we know in our heart of hearts, down deep inside that God loves us perfectly and wants to bless us,  it changes the way we view everything about life.

Even when I have a problem, or a disappointment, I know that God is blessing me and has promised  to work the situation for good( Romans 8:28).  He is absolutely going to bless me in and through the problem.  When I’m actively looking for the blessing, it takes my focus off the negativity of the problem and puts the focus on God.  Many times,  just this one shift in focus will actually change the  situation.

My boss isn’t fair, she doesn’t like me…I start looking for the blessing and I find a better job which I never would’ve searched for had it not been for the problem with my boss…there’s the blessing!

I lose my home because of finances…BIG problem right?   I have to down-size to a smaller place with a smaller payment, we de-junk to fit into it and my life becomes more simple with less stress overnight.  My kids learn that they can live and be happy without so much stuff and we grow closer as a family without all those rooms to retreat to…..BIG blessing!

Powerful thought!  The Lord has staked His own reputation on every promise He made in the bible.   He promised Abraham that He would bless him and the very same promise applies to every believer.  The God of Abraham, the one true God, will bless you with everything He’s got and stake His reputation on it….. that’s a WOW!!  So, when I’m lonely or discouraged or patiently waiting for God to work out a situation, I do so against a backdrop of this one thought.  God has promised to bless me with EVERYTHING He has…..bless and bless and bless.
