FACE TIME (with God)
Have you ever had a makeover or ever considered having one? Why exactly?
“When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.”
Do you think the people closest to you can tell when you’ve been face-to-face with God?
What specifically tips them off?
“The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you”
“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.”
1 Chronicles 16:11
How would you rate your Face time with God?
Is it …
Familiar? Do you speak to God as a friend?
Authentic? Do you tell God the truth?
Continual? Do you live in His presence?
EnJOYable? Have you begun to crave God time?
“They say to wood, ‘You are my father,’ and to stone, ‘You gave me birth.’ They have turned their backs to me and not their faces; yet when they are in trouble, they say, ‘Come and save us!'”
You may be “in trouble”, or you may be having a time of abundance and victory.
Whatever your current situation…
Close your eyes and picture yourself facing your sin issues, those things that God has been convicting you to submit to Him and want to change. Jealousy, anger, resentment, scarcity, fear…… Picture yourself turning your back on those things and facing Jesus. Look into his eyes, confess your weakness and accept His power to change.
